NEW GUIDES

Dragon began by introducing two new guides: Ninyanna Trommler and Melvyn Meredith.

ITEMS COVERED:

1) Voice: Dragon would like the inception of voice into classes where guides are comfortable to do so. There is a poll running on the website:
http://www.mysticacademy.org/ re voice in classes. Dansz and Arawn reported they couldn’t get the website poll to work. Advised to log out, re log in and try again. Classes can be text, voice or a combination of the two. Pointed out that voice does carry – Hokon reported hearing voice 40m away from the source. Guides need to be mindful of this. ACTION: All guides.

2) Testimonials: Please would guides encourage Mystics to comment on the class and the Academy. Ask permission to put their comments on the contact form on the website: http://www.mysticacademy.org/ma/contact or they can post them themselves. Guides were reminded to put their own comments on the website. ACTION: All guides/Elborath

3) Pictures: Some historical pictures of MA are up on the website. More would be appreciated please – particularly Rydal and Huron. Send to Elborath Gelfand – either inworld or email to: elborath@surfree.co.uk

4) Vendors: A small vendor space has been created upstairs in the Academy building. It only has four stalls, three are left. The rent is 100$L for 30prims. One larger stall is for goods on a percentage basis and will connect with the Bazaar. Ari hopes to liaise with Fire and Grey to have a weekly Bazaar product on display. The goods on sale will be mystical/spiritual in character. Anyone wanting to rent a stall contact Arianna. ACTION: All members/Arianna

5) Video clips – a call for ppl to contribute video clips, both for YouTube and for Torley Linden for Flickr. Send clips to Torley Linden and to Dragon for YouTube. FireStaar is making a video – and video’d the meeting. ACTION: All members, FireStaar, Dragon.

6) Nudity: Some concern has been expressed re ppl walking around naked. Does this give the right first impression to newbies? It was agreed that the minimum amount of clothing ppl wear should be three leaves. The recommendation will go into the covenant. ACTION: All guides/Manon.

7) Arawn has suggested a much simpler ‘HELP’ icon or ball for newbies – perhaps a green floater which ppl can message – message gets sent to the MA chatroom so someone can respond.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

a) Yonsay Gontineac: Would like a graphical link to MA to put in his art shop – Dragon suggests a freebie box/graphical object. Ari to liaise with Yonsay. ACTION; Arianna/Yonsay

b) StarRose Merlin: Happiness Merryman will post a group request for ppl to submit questions they would like to be asked in an interview. ACTION: Happiness.

c) Elborath Gelfand: Nina Lancaster (Healing Pool) is renting advertising space at the Healing Pool for RL therapists who also use their therapy in SL. Contact Nina Lancaster.

d) Elborath Gelfand: There are two problems with the front door – 1) It won’t always open and 2) It seems to have a trip wire in front of it…Manon to liaise with castle builder to remove door (? and to deal with the trip wire). ACTION: Manon

e) Dragon Shichiroji: We need to revamp the staff board and offer space to MA members who are RL therapists. Also create an orb to flag up about four guides when they are online. ACTION: Dragon/Arawn/?

f) SkyRose Merlin: Ppl have been having difficulty finding the tp for the Sky Temple. It is on the map but it is a little small. ? a larger board outside the Academy. Dragon thinks comes in standard size. Dragon will liaise with Ari. ACTION: Dragon/Arianna

g) Elborath Gelfand: The VR room overshadows the consulting rooms and perhaps it could be moved further away or further up. Dragon will liaise with Arianna and Rian with a view to moving it. ACTION: Dragon/Arianna/Rian

h) Top Golden: Suggested that a prim with the website url for the class schedule:
http://www.mysticacademy.org/ma/node/8
could be placed on the calendar.

The meeting concluded with Penny Intikhab who is doing a study on education in SL asking questions of Dragon and the members of the meeting. The transcription follows the date and time of next meeting.
