More about the Academy

Mystic Academy is an online community that is dedicated to non-dogmatic interfaith studies of mysticism, religion, and philosophy and which meets in the 3D virtual world, Second Life (www.secondlife.com). Being global and international in scope by nature of the Internet, people from all over the world, from all different backgrounds, come together to take part in lectures, discussion groups, interactive classes, and events. Teachers and students come with backgrounds in the religions of the world, including: Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, Eastern Orthodox Catholicism, Buddhism, Shinto, Confucianism, Jainism, Taoism, Sikhism, Baha’i, Zoroastrianism, and Hinduism. Others come with non-religious backgrounds, such as: philosophy, atheism, and agnosticism. The Library at Alexandria was once a beacon for the world’s philosophers and mystics. In our Internet Age, the torch has been passed to Mystic Academy.

Studies at Mystic Academy include: meditation, psychic phenomena, healing, tarot, astrology, Wicca, mysticism, spirituality, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, alchemy, Freemasonry, Rosicrucian philosophy, Odd Fellows, Holy Grail Mysteries, Theosophy, Enochian, Kabbalah, Magick, Tantra, Shamanism, Druidism, Zoroastrianism, Greek Mysteries, remote viewing, OBE, occult anatomy, yoga, feng shui, angels, philosophy, theology, mythology, and comparative religion. Teachers and students share the wisdom found in the world’s sacred texts, including: the Upanishads, the Vedas, the Baghavad Gita, the Torah, the Koran, the Tao Te Ching, the Zend Avesta, the New Testament, The Apocrypha, the Popul Vuh, Buddhist texts, ancient Egyptian texts, ancient Sumerian texts, and Native American mystical traditions.

One does not have to be a member of the group in order to participate in the activities at Mystic Academy. It is an open school for anyone to attend. Peace, enlightenment, expanded awareness and consciousness, and broad philosophical and theological understanding are the aims of Mystic Academy. As with the Library at Alexandria, the academy attracts some of the world’s brightest minds and most enlightened souls. It’s therefore very easy to feel comfortable and inspired among Mystic Academy’s teachers and students.
