DATE AND TIME NEXT MEETING

1) Redesign of land around MA: Dragon reports has cleared the space outside the Academy buildings. The old rental hut has gone and there is more comfortable seating the club moved to a side platform pending redevelopment and slight adjustments to the treehouse space at the back. There are plans for a pagoda area for quiet meditation together with a pyramid classroom. The main buildings are to be merged. (NB – since the meeting the buildings have been merged and the pyramid classroom is completed). People are requested not to rez objects on the land for the time being.

2) MA Club: MA Club: There are residents who have set up clubs on their own land – which is great – but MA would also like to develop a club on MA land too – as Dragon’s preference is to have as many activities on MA land as possible. There is the Greywolf club which is cherished by many and Sara and Scott’s new club as well as Xe’s club if there is a way we can all work together as one team to provide a varied club experience for our members. There is no reason why club events can’t be run at the same time as a class – if it doesn’t prove disruptive to the class. Streamed classes would not be able to run concurrently but text classes should not present a problem.
• A permanent venue for the MA club is to be decided. Dragon would like for the individual clubs to run during the week but once a week perhaps could come together for a collaborative gig on MA land. Dragon quoted the group Divine Mother who is doing very well at the moment – and all their events take place on one site. We have to remember also that our core function is as an educative group.
• It is preferred that the private clubs on the rented land do not use the MA advertising system.
• We can request other satellite clubs to come and contribute to the central events we hold from time to time as they are often around fundraising and other worthy initiatives.

3) Calendars: We are waiting for Catfish to return in order to finalise the Google calendar. The Google calendar is online and gives a pictorial representation of the week’s events. Inworld it is the cog situated in the landing area. Touching this will give a choice of how many days you want to view – then will produce the information in local chat. At the moment both the Google Calendar and the Prim Calendar are sadly out of date. The Google Calendar can be embedded in the MA website. Elborath to liaise with Catfish.

4) New Staff: Elborath reported she has had requests from ppl wanting to teach at MA – which she has now passed onto StarRose.

5) Greeters: Dragon asked for more people to agree to be on rotation for greeting people and being around to help newcomers. Lizzy Renard has already volunteered. Dragon is looking for people for 7 - 10 am SLT and 1 - 4pm SLT. Elizabeth Spieler will do 9am – 11am. Caryn Eleonara volunteers for 1pm – 3pm SLT.

Landing site and tp: A notecard for the places in MA and on MA Campus is needed together with signs to be situated with the sim wide teleport system. ACTION: Elborath.

6) Website: Someone is needed to help Elborath with managing the website. To keep it up to date with events and so on. StarRose suggested several editors for various topics.

7) Event: We are planning a large sim wide event. Theme is to be – Camelot and Celtic. Readings in tents around MA readings in medieval type tents around MA – traditional street entertainers - Hula, Music, concerts – Cypress Rosewood suggested - would need to pay him - $L6000 – we could ask staff for donations to MA to cover this. A Masquerade Ball is suggested to round the day off. The 22nd August is suggested as a date.
