1) Newsletter: The newsletter has now become the Summer Newsletter. Apologies to all those who have contributed for the late appearance. Circumstances have delayed its appearance – but it will appear we promise you.

2)Google Calendar: Catfish String is doing an amazing job with the Google Calendar. For all staff to post their events on the Google Calendar (and Dragon is keen to dispense with the old prim calendar and use the Google one exclusively so we need to get our heads around this) instructions follow:

Go to:
http://sites.google.com/site/mysticacademy/Home/access-to-our-calender
And fill out the form
Catfish String will give you access to the calendar and IM you
Having a Google account is best
Then log into Google with YOUR account
And go to http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=mystic.academy%40googlemail.com...
and add your classes, etc.

We hope to give you class pages too – where you can put information about your classes for ppl to access.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Landing and welcome site: Catfish suggested that it would be a good idea to have a small parcel on Spirit City as a landing and welcome place. Manon mentioned the central point that we had in the past and the infohub that stood there – she would like that info hub resurrected and will use the little island as the rent office. The main landing point at the moment is right outside the main Academy doors which really helps ppl to find us. Elborath pointed out that there is a big section about Mystic Academy in the information hub in the library area. To be discussed with Dragon.

Class catalogue: Catfish is also making a library catalogue of the subjects offered by the guides at MA.

Griefing and Banning: Questions were raised about banning. Elborath reminded people that if someone is banned please would the person who did the ban send her a notecard with information about why the person was banned, whether they were warned etc. In most cases bans are for one week initially and then are revoked. The exception is if someone is banned from the entire sim by either Manon or Dragon.

There is a ban policy – Elborath will find it and send it out as a notecard.
