1) Open Forum: a) There was much discussion re the staff information wall – whether ppl like notecards and would bother to keep one – it was pointed out that it can be read it and then discarded - or whether it would be better to use a script that would put information on the screen as chat. Some bios are long and a whole screen of chat can be daunting.
The comment was made that it doesn’t always give details of what the staff member teaches – but the calendar gives all that information.
It was decided that the format for the staff ‘wall’ is probably best as it is.

The calendar was also discussed – again it was decided that it works well as it is. However it often does not carry all the classes. It is the guide’s responsibility to make sure their classes are up on the calendar – ACTION – all guides.

Elborath continues to maintain the Google Calendar – tho ppl can log on and put their own things on the Google Calendar. IM Elborath for details.

b) Suggestions for classes were as follows:

A course in Reiki possible teachers Hermes Kondor or Layooesh Chemistry – Hermes already teaches on the Reiki Network – Xe Parx wondered if there could be a teacher exchange between the Network and MA.

PhoenixMike would like to see more workshops rather than series of classes – subjects suggested:

• Emotional Freedom Therapy (Elborath will run one in a few weeks – and possibly repeat it on a monthly basis)
• Sound Acupuncture – Layooesh Chemistry gave the following link: http://www.acutonics.com/
• Emotional Release
• Arawn suggested a workshop in GIMP – any technical classes in how to bring technology into MA would be valuable

2) Newsletter:

• Elizabeth reported she has a poem for the poetry page and the updated library index.
• Elborath has some class descriptions to include on a review of classes page. She also has permission to include some of Soothsayer’s and Elizabeth’s poetry from Poet’s Corner on the poetry page
• Dragon has promised to write an editorial
• Elborath is still hoping for one or two ‘problems’ for a Dear Abby page
• As yet we have no-one who has volunteered to design the graphics for the newsletter.
• The newsletter needs to be available in .pdf format in order for it to be made available on the website. Elborath will undertake to convert it after Elizabeth has edited it – unless Elizabeth accesses the software.

The deadline for the newsletter has been extended. Publication on 12th April – Easter Sunday. Deadline for entries to Elizabeth – 9th April please.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Layooesh reported that a blessing that is recited on the Sun once every twenty-eight years, when the vernal equinox as calculated by tradition falls on a Tuesday at sundown is due on April 8th this year. There was some discussion about marking the occasion – as yet inconclusive.
