DATE AND TIME NEXT MEETING

1) Apologies Apologies from Jane Atkey and Baji Bourjade – although Baji managed to join the meeting later.

2) New Staff StarRose introduced Niama Meyersohn who will be teaching classes similar to meditation but using the HemiSync technology. HemiSync was developed by Robert Munroe and is used to explore levels of consciousness and is also used for OBE programmes – (Outcome Based Education). It encourages whole brain functioning to focus more intently on goals. It uses binaural beats to alter the frequency of brain waves. Niama hopes to have the class up and running in a couple of weeks – her business partner CJ Kitaj will apply to be a guide at MA too and they may team teach.

AlphaAngel a RL high school teacher will be joining us soon and will teach journaling and poetry.

Layooesh Chemistry is another new guide being inducted by StarRose – Layooesh is the founder of several SL groups including Occultech, Alchemist 51, Ordo Templi Orientis, Enochian Order of the Golden Dawn and Knights*Templar. He will be teaching the scholarly approach to the Kabbalah (a discipline and school of thought discussing the mystical aspect of Judaism) among other subjects.

3) New Classes Scott Boronski a talented and established musician in RL is starting a music appreciation class on Tuesdays at 2.30pm SLT. The classes aim to be a gentle exploration of music and its meaning. If successful Scott aims to make the class a Tuesday regular.

4) Halloween Event The meeting discussed the plans for the Halloween Event.

5) Video Streaming StarRose and Elizabeth Spieler are working to bring Elizabeth’s videos inworld. A Youtube player is being placed in level 2 of the Oracle Temple. Dragon would like the player to be signposted at ground level of MA and a notecard of instruction on its use made available. ACTION StarRose Merlin

6) Griefing Guidelines

Classroom Situation

• Ask the griefer to stop
• If request ignored – ask again
• If behaviour continues call security
• If security do not arrive immediately – take whatever measures necessary to ensure the smooth running of the class – Guide exercises right to eject and or ban.
• Please send details to Elborath Gelfand – the initial ban is for one week only – Elborath will unban and contact the person concerned.

Contentious conversations in and around MA

• People are entitled to their opinions and freedom of speech
• However in the case of verbal abuse endeavour to discuss the matter in IM preferably in a quiet part of MA
• If abuse and disrespect continue publicly then call security or exercise eject and ban options as above.
• Please send details to Elborath Gelfand who will act as arbitrator.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

I. ErinSelene Llewellyn Is taking part in a National Novel Writing Month – so her MA workshop will be pushed back for a month. Visit http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/418440 for details. Elborath to write about Erin and her classes on the website. ACTION Elborath Gelfand.
II. A forum to be set up for the minutes of the midweek guide’s meeting. ACTION StarRose;Elborath;Dragon.
III. teak Zenovka will donate an SL iMac to the MA library which can be used to send emails into RL.
IV. Dragon asks if anyone in the group is able to counsel any members who may find themselves in financial difficulties. Sessions in attracting abundance would also be welcome. StarRose will investigate. ACTION StarRose.
V. Manon is always aware of prim usage and being economical with them. She queried the need for three dance places in Spirit City. Dragon will consolidate. Most dances seem to take place in the garden. Dragon will remove the treehouse and may merge the old telehub with the garden. ACTION Dragon.
VI. Dragon reported that this last month MA has had 7000 hits with traffic slowly increasing by the week – he congratulated all staff for their fantastic efforts.
