1) Introduction new staff

StarRose reported that MA’s newest guide is Niama Meyersohn and she will be teaching principles and practices of the Hemi Synch methods as from the Monroe Institute. (Hemi-Sync helps you safely alter your brainwaves with multi-layered patterns of sound frequencies)

2) Student numbers at class

Dragon asked guides how many students they usually had attending classes. Boots Takao reported usually between 5-10 but she has had up to 20. Sara reported she has regular ppl who come to all her classes. Draig Belgar reported that her Managing Anxiety classes has dropped to a good core 4 and she has a waiting list for the series when it begins again. Dragon would like guides to keep a note of the number of students attending classes to report back to him. ACTION: All guides

3) Statistics

Dragon drew the meeting’s attention to the new statistics website:

He summarised the information as follows:
i) Attendance is levelled out - with peaks at weekends and Mondays.
ii) The majority of visitors are 0-6 months old in SL
iii) 11am - 5pm SL Time are the best times for classes - 2pm is the highest for number of visits
iv) 1/3 of visitors are not paying members in SL - they are basic account, half of them have a paid account.
v) Sara Long and Alien Shaman have the most visits

Ara Ametza noted that about 13% of traffic are from the specific age group between 1 year 4 mths and 1 year 6 mths.

4) Mid week Guides Meeting

Dragon asked StarRose and Jophiella to supply minutes for the mid week guides meeting. Bullet points will do. ACTION: StarRose Merlin/Jophiella Willis

5) Review of Security

Dragon asked for feedback on the outside security team. Elizabeth Spieler reported it took three minutes from accidentally hitting the security button for security to arrive. StarRose reported that Steele Wilder says it could be 10 mins before they get to MA when called – StarRose pointed out this is too long in a classroom situation. Sara reported that she had called them but they did not respond until she received an IM the following day. Draig reported something similar.

Manon Clary reminded the group that the security service is there to call for real issues and not for private fights.

Dragon Shichiroji sees a need to standardise the ban commentary and guidance and all guides will need to follow it. ACTION Dtagon Shichiroji/Elborath Gelfand

Dragon distinguished between three different kinds of griefing: griefing in the classroom during class, griefing on the land in general, and conversations which can become argumentative on the land (outside of class).

Elborath reported that we are middle of the road when it comes to the numbers banned as compared with other similar sims.

6) Video streaming

Elizabeth Spieler would like to stream her videos into MA. They are now on YouTube. MA needs a YouTube viewer. Elborath had been working with Elizabeth on the previous day but StarRose did bring a YouTube viewer into MA previously. Elborath declined taking the lead in this (because she doesn’t know a lot about it) leaving this to StarRose and Elizabeth. ACTION: StarRose/Elizabeth

Dragon would like it so configured that all staff can change channels.

Monday 26th October at 3.30pm SLT (The UK is now only 7 hours ahead of SLT – we have already put the hour back – sorry West Coast folks but Dragon is unlikely to be able to get here an hour earlier than usual)
