ANY OTHER BUSINESS

1) Phasing out of inactive staff: People to continue to be thought of as part of the staff team even if they are inactive – and to be kept on the staff board unless they no longer have an account with SL. Dragon would like to see some way of honouring the contribution non-active staff members have made to MA. He suggests the name Alumni for staff members who are currently inactive. There is the possibility that because of space concerns with the staff board in MA itself that there is a special page created on the website for currently in-active members.

2) Halloween Fair: Draig is lending Samhain and Hallow'e'en carousels for the event. Sara reported that the core time will be 1.30pm – 3pm SLT with a Halloween Party from 3pm SLT onwards. She has asked performers to send her a notecard about their contributions. Sara has obtained a Halloween dance floor with flags and ghostly emanations! Siting of the dance floor and the carousels is to be determined. Dragon will free up some prims. Draig has already made up boxes of prizes to be won from lucky chairs or to be used as raffle prizes etc. but these can be held in inventory and therefore do not need to tie up prims.

Dragon asked those concerned to do a ‘dress rehearsal’ in the sandbox to see how many prims he needs to free up. Sara reported she only needs between 15 – 20 prims.

3) Psychic Fair: StarRose is working towards a psychic fair – and is planning a séance for that. It was thought at the previous meeting that the celebrations would run over two days – with the Psychic fair taking place on November 1st – this means that there is something for members from all time zones.

4) Class schedules: For anyone wanting to take a class Saturdays have some free spaces. Would guides please remember to send their class schedules to Elborath for inclusion on the website. Also would new guides please send details of their classes to Elborath so she can feature them on the home page of the website.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Dragon would like part of the meetings to be held in voice as it adds warmth to the precedings. Elborath reminded Dragon that those parts are unlikely to be minuted. However Temporal Gadgets has a Recorder that prints out voice recordings – although Arawn has doubts about their efficacy for recording meetings. They are expensive at $L 2250 but might be worth the investment. Elborath to investigate.

People are rather concerned about the effect of voice on lag and how to disentangle all the voices. It is not proposed to conduct the Monday meetings all in voice – but just nice to drop into it for a short while for the warmth it brings. Voice and text can be used interchangeably in most situations.

Denon reported that Elizabeth is working on doing machinima of their classes – Denon to ask if she will put it up on uTube.

Dragon would like staff to create more items for the website. He also floated the idea of showcasing some of the goods our members make and sell on the website. Elborath enquired as to whether we could sell merchandise through the website.

Draig would be happy to put her guided imageries on the website. We need to learn how to do podcasting. kuel Tardis has done this and would be happy to liaise with Draig.

We also need expertise in streaming movies from websites so that they play inworld.
