GRADES & SCORING
This is a simple informational course. Passing the course requires participation in sessions
and discussions, and completion of self-tests and quizzes for each chapter. Students who
attend and participate will 'pass'. There is no failure here.
QUIZZES, TESTS & EXAMS
There will be one major exam per semester covering everything learned from the
beginning of the course to that point in time.
There are self-tests on every unit of the syllabus. These tests are not graded, but for your
benefit only.
Quizzes may or may not be preannounced and will take up to 20 minutes to complete.
They will be small in the scope of material that they cover.
PAPERS & PROJECTS
There will be one project per section on the syllabus, done individually.
There are no planned papers for this course, although in some cases, for extra credit, the
instructor may deem a paper appropriate.
ATTENDANCE & TARDINESS POLICY
In order to pass the course, students are required to attend 80% of the classes throughout
the year. If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please complete and return an
