iv) Enneagram classes

1) New guides: There are no new fully inducted guides but Erinselene has been teaching with Arawn and needs the induction process to be completed. Dragon congratulated Arawn on finding a new teacher to work in his area.

2) Staff morale: Dragon asked the meeting to report on staff morale – the general feeling was that it is disturbed at the moment. Dragon said he had become aware of negative gossip going on and re-iterated that personal issues are not taken into public chat. He underlined the need to work as a team and said that if someone wishes to raise a matter personally they can do it in IM. He pointed out that MAs strength is that the same spirit binds us together, and if we don’t practice what we teach then we are open to criticisms of not being genuine. He made the point that we should abide by our covenant. Problems need to be brought to the notice of Staff in order that they can be investigated properly.

3) Mystic Bazaar: FireStaar reported that it is difficult to find items for the Bazaar, although it is attracting more vendors. Elborath suggested that the type of item offered could be widened. Dragon suggested going back to the vendors we had before and encouraging their participation. He also suggested someone to host the bazaar at busier times and to stock the kind of items people are looking for. Jo suggested Cliss might like to be involved. ACTION: FireStaar

4) Upcoming classes and events: A Harvest Festival is planned for the September solstice. At that solstice Mel and Caryl will do an equinox observance. It is suggested that we start a fund specifically in order to pay performers who participate in our events – like the Firedancers. Alien is back running a music gig on Thursdays at 3pm and FireStaar is willing to DJ a session in the next couple of weeks. StarRose suggested a MA supported theme event at the bazaar. StarRose reported that Wulf and Solar will also be taking some classes in the next week or so. Also Ex Noel is back in September with a series of workshops. Dragon reported that Bamf will be dropping a ‘sploder off at MA shortly. StarRose questioned whether it would add to lag problems. ACTION: FireStaar, StarRose and all staff.

5) Lag: MA suffers from a great deal of lag. The general feeling was more than other comparable sims. Matara has the problem occasionally. Dragon reported that we have an enormous number of running scripts – taking up 6400 as he spoke. He urged all staff to remove all unnecessary items running scripts and will get security to chase them down. Also asked that ppl do not use particle emitters when on MA ground.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

i) Thanks: Dragon thanked Elborath for the work in putting the information from the info hub onto the website. Elborath reported it to be nearly finished – then will just need maintenance and adding new groups as they are found.

ii) Landscaping: there was some discussion regarding landscaping of the land of MA placement of trees statues and so on. These are land use issues and need to be discussed with Manon.

iii) Elborath asked that guides post their classes on the calendar in good time so she can get them up onto the website. She is dependent on the calendar so if ppl don’t post on there the information doesn’t get up on the website either.
iv) RedRose reported that she and Jane are pleased with the steady progress of their Enneagram classes here and she thanked MA for the excellent facilities and venue.
