DATE AND TIME NEXT MEETING

1) New Staff: StarRose reported the new staff are settling in well and there are more applications in the pipe line. Amorah has already taught a class and Lukaz is scheduled for Thursday 10th July. Dragon has put a recruitment ad in classifieds.

2) New Bridge: The new bridge is up and has created an attractive space for discussion as well as encouraging traffic flow between Mystic Academy and the Bazaar area. Thanks due to Arawn.

3) New Bazaar Area and Grey Wolf Club: The castle housing the Bazaar has now gone and has been replaced by very attractive open air tents for merchandising. The new area (thanks to FireStaar) received very positive feedback from the members of the meeting. The Grey Wolf club may stay – if so it will be housed at ground level. All comments to FireStaar please. ACTION: All members

4) Oracle Temple: The Oracle Temple is now housed over MA land. However this has led to a need to conserve prims leading on to point 5)

5) Prims and returns: The Oracle Temple has about 300 prims which has led to a shortage on the parcel. Manon is chasing down and returning objects that are not strictly necessary. ACTION: Manon

6) Stats: Dragon publishes the visitor stats every week on the website:
http://www.mysticacademy.org/ma/blog Staff are encouraged to view the stats and report any insights or analysis of same to Dragon. ACTION: All staff

7) Scheduling: The stats show that traffic is fairly busy at weekends and also at times of the day when there are few classes – particularly those times that relate to the Southern hemisphere. Discussion ensued regarding scheduling classes in such a way that all members of our global group can take advantage of them. Aurav and FireStaar offered to take classes. Dragon had the final say with: Keep open to the time zones, look on the website for the latest stats about popular times. field applications to starrose if you have not taught here before, and those that are current guides should feel an open remit to deliver what they want when they want. In addition Dragon agreed to the idea of asking our membership for people who would like to teach in those times related to the Southern hemisphere and not fully covered at the moment. Dragon also agreed to teach a class and asked for people to suggest classes they would like him to take. He asked for a short list of three. ACTION: Dragon, StarRose, All Guides.

8) Staff Page: Elborath reported that the staff page is up and running on the website: http://www.mysticacademy.org/ma/node/204 and that Staff can now edit their own bio pages. ACTION: All staff

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

a) AlienShaman reported he has a new short story in the library, in the mystic journey book, and would like to get some feedback from it – positive or negative. ACTION: All Guides

b) Elborath reported that sadly Zenny can no longer act as our librarian due to RL pressures. Everyone praised the work that Zenny has put in to make the library such a wonderful institution in MA. Hoowever we need to seek a new librarian. ACTION: Dragon and Staff.

c) The chairing of the Staff Meetings will be rotated in future. StarRose will be taking the next meeting.
