1) New Staff: StarRose reported that there are several people interested in becoming guides and some are currently being inducted. These are: Amorah Oryl will be teaching Galactic Wisdoms, Gangstalicious Bellic who will be teaching math and Lukaz Franizzi who will be teaching Latin and Christian beliefs – he also has knowledge of African beliefs. Dragon would like to liaise with Lukaz – Star to set up. Sara Long offered to teach Sanskrit – offer warmly accepted. ACTION: Star/Dragon

2) New Bridge: The new bridge is primarily there to draw traffic between Mystic Academy and the Bazaar. Firestaar reported that there have been more ppl coming over to the Bazaar from MA. Arawn suggested the bridge could also have other uses such as a meeting place. Arawn was uncertain if the bridge could be made flatter but would like to make it a little less steep on the Bazaar side. Dragon suggested it could be used for classes or discussion groups and pointed out that it is a great prim saver. He suggests that maybe it could be eventually rebuilt and made flatter. Dragon will re-assess the bridge at the next staff meeting. ACTION: Arawn/Dragon

3) Vending Areas and website poll: The poll about expanding the shopping area at MA was 59% for 41% against. Total votes: 27 Dragon would like to leave it running for another week – would like the votes to get up to 30. There was discussion about the position of the vendors upstairs at MA – the consensus of opinion being that they are not visible enough up there although one or two ppl had shopped there. It was agreed to trial an outdoor market – Firestaar had visited one or two and was in favour. The upstairs vendors could be moved outside keeping our prim count the same. Suggested positions of the vendors are by the new bridge or to the left of the Castle exit opposite the gazebo. Dragon would still like feedback on the current location and asked Arawn to construct his staircase TP. His feeling is to try out a few of these different regions until we get one that works consistently. Aurav asked that the shops on MA land could carry links to the Bazaar - they already do.

4) Use of Castle Space: The ground floor of the castle will remain vendor free. If the vendors move outside Dragon asked for suggestions for use of the first floor. He is considering removing the first floor of the castle giving the lounge a greater ceiling height and saving prims. Silverlight would like to see the castle replaced by one or two story building with a teaching platform above. Dragon stated that the may be modified but will stay as MA needs the stability. Aurav questioned if the library could be moved upstairs. The general opinion was that the library needs to be visible. Arawn said that if the ceiling above the library was higher he could build some primefficient library shelving.

5) Siting of Oracle Temple: StarRose felt that the lounge area of MA was not enough to accommodate the kind of numbers of ppl she has had attending the Avery’s trance sessions – which have been up to 40. Also she is anticipating a big response to the Crystal Mind classes about to start with Azar Sak. These have been hosted in StarRose’s Oracle Temple. Dragon pointed out this is not on MA land and therefore we don’t get the traffic. It is billed as Mystic Academy but ppl just land here then tp away. Ppl need to stay on land for a full 5mins to be counted as traffic. StarRose would be happy to move the Temple over MA. It does need 300 prims. Dragon to see where prims can be saved. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

a) Returning of stray prims: Arawn reported on a prim rezzer over MA land last Saturday – Manon had sorted it. Dragon asked Arawn if he would you like to become the Prim inspector. Arawn agreed and is duly appointed. Elborath pointed out his perms will need to be changed. ACTION: Arawn/Dragon

b) Staff page on website: Elborath reported she is having trouble uploading images to the website at the moment – due to each person having only 1mb image allowance. Silverlight would like to be able to edit her own page. Elborath agreed – she will put up the page for each staff member and then if they are given editorial rights each one can edit their own (and put up their own picture – which will take the pressure off Elborath’s quota and leave her free to put images on the home page). Elborath asked StarRose to ask all new guides to send a bio to her so the page can be set up. ACTION: Elborath/StarRose/Staff Members/Dragon.

c) Joining Mystic Chatroom: Sheena pointed out that when you apply to join the Mystic Chatroom it still automatically makes you a guide. Dragon said this had been addressed.

d) SL Kabbalah Group: Geoffrey drew the meeting’s attention to the lecture being held by the SL Kabbalah group taking place during the evening. Elborath to liaise with Geoffrey to include the group in the Infohub. ACTION/ Elborath
