1) Codes of conduct:
Suggested Codes of Conduct for Guides have been posted on the website.
http://www.mysticacademy.org/ma/node/120#comment-43
After discussion they were modified and at present are as follows:
1) Guides are expected to treat students and Academy Staff including each other with respect and tolerance.
2) Guides must be respectful of the differing cultures, life experiences and opinions of students.
3) When in the Academy and its grounds Guides should act in a way that enhances the reputation of Mystic Academy.
4) If guides fail to observe this code of conduct their guide status will be revoked.
If you have comments to make please go to the website (URL above) and join the forum thread. ACTION: All guides and members.
2) Student Council:
Dragon announced that the Student Council has been created with two members initially – Sheena Fairey and Higher Enoch. Congratulations to Sheena and Higher. There is still a vacancy for a third member of the council – it would be good to see one of the male students taking that place. Applications are invited.
The Student Council will be the liaison point for students, will sit in on Staff Meetings and represent the students and will be the first link in a complaints process for students.
A Student webpage will be set up for the Council members to edit. ACTION: Sheena/Higher/Dragon
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Arawn reported that for his last building class ppl couldn’t tp in because the sim was full. He has now come up with a landing pad idea just outside the sandbox in order to over come this problem. Part of the difficulty may have arisen because a previous class on the sim had not finished and disbanded. Dragon will look at the scheduling should the problem be repeated. ACTION: Arawn/Dragon
Rod reported that he’s been tracking AOl.com and Yahoo.com News since Summer 2004 every day and has been posting about Second Life in Blogs. There was a News Article about Artificial Intelligence tied to Second Life Researchers in the News:
DATE AND TIME OF THE NEXT MEETING:
