Celebration Party 8th May 2008

With MA's dedication to providing first class teachings on such a wide range of subjects, with its Academy building and the superlative library you could be forgiven for thinking that we at Mystic are dedicated to the serious and are maybe a little light on the fun! Well yes we do take what we do seriously but you would be sooo wrong about the fun! Whoot – does MA know how to party! From the beach to the TreeHouse Club taking in the Grey Wolf Club, the front lawn, the back lot – actually wherever a few gather together, give us the people, a dance ball or two and someone who can stream and before you know it you’ve got a DJ, a gig and a party in progress.

Last night we had a party. Late it was by British standards (didn’t start until 1.30am here in the UK) but hey we weren’t going to let that stop us. Dragon Shichiroji was the DJ – starting us off with the haunting sounds of his own compositions and going onto trance.

This party was the brainchild of StarRose Merlin who organised it as a celebration and thank you to all the staff of Mystic Academy for the hard work they do in teaching, administering, promoting and supporting MA keeping it the fantastic place and group that it is.

It was a pyjama party!! So I had to go off and buy some decent pyjamas because I don’t have much call for them in SL (nor in RL either – but that’s another story…) I ended up with a fetching number in Stars and Stripes. My outfit was completed by a kindly gift from Baji Bourjade of big blue fuzzy slippers so I didn’t have to dance barefoot.

Most people were in their night attire. Exceptions being Bamf – who stayed enigmatic all night in a coat http://www.mysticacademy.org/ma/gallery/?level=picture&id=108
and Rod who was doing a grand Obi Wan Kenobi imitation (mind you that might have been Obi Wan’s night attire – hard to tell). StarRose’s baby dolls had the most fetching bloomers and she carried a very ‘Bride’s Head Revisited’ teddy bear. The drinks flowed (SL style) there were pillow fights and ice cream and the music rocked. Dragon attempted to get a pyjama look with a Mystic T shirt (we gather he isn’t familiar with the garments in SL – nor RL either - uh huh…) but Rian finally gave him a fetching green number covered with dog paw prints – whereupon he threw himself into the dance like a tall rather demented green elf!
