Mystic Academy one of the largest groups of its kind in the 3D world of Secondlife was founded in November 2006 by its director, Dragon Shichiroji. It has grown in membership to encompass a whole sim of activities at its location in Spirit City. The academy now has more than 1600 members and 50 staff.

SCOTT BORONSKI RELEASES NEW ALBUM

Mystic Academy is privileged to count among its staff Scott Boronski – Mystic Musician. Scott, an acclaimed singer/songwriter and music producer in RL, has published a new album singing his own compositions called ‘Let’s Move Out To Mars’. The album, under the name Scott Boronski, is full of haunting lyrics together with beautiful melodies and is available for download at Itunes for £7.99 – which is a steal! HERE COMES 2009

Mystic Academy is seeing in the third New Year since its inception by Dragon Shichiroji in November 2006. As we go into 2009 Mystic Academy has over 1700 members and over 100 listed staff - many of whom are currently active in teaching, consultations and administration of the Academy. In the last few weeks an exciting development has unfolded - one which we are taking into the New Year and which promises to bring a whole new dimension to Mystic Academy in 2009. This is the Mystic Campus which is offering a wider variety of classes and activities with an informal ambiance set in the sister sim of Matara.

A GRAND CHRISTMAS PARTY

Mystic celebrated the holiday in style!

Mystic Musician ScottBoronski began the festivities streaming his own cool album 'Let's Move Out to Mars'. Manon Clary - The Angel of the Sims - continued with great Christmas songs handing over to Mystic DJ AlienShaman Constellation to take us into the wee small hours. The costume competition was won by Hokon Cazelet for the females and Marko Seurat for the males - together they make a Mr and Mrs Claus! Congratulations both.

HUMAN RIGHTS FESTIVAL

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL AT MYSTIC ACADEMY WHO WERE INVOLVED IN THE EVENTS FOR THE HUMAN RIGHTS FESTIVAL - FROM THOSE WHO PERFORMED IN THE EVENTS, THOSE WHO RAN CLASSES AND THOSE THAT WORKED BEHIND THE SCENES TO BRING THE EVENTS IN SMOOTHLY AND ON TIME. THANK YOU ALL - YOU DID GOOD!

To coincide with the Human Rights festival SL Artist Xe Parx and her Twin Flame Xi Hermit have mounted an exhibition dedicated to Human Rights. Along with the exhibition there is a sandbox where if you join the Angel's Nest group you can create your own Human Rights artifacts and have them on display. The exhibition runs until January 20th and takes place at Angel's Nest sim.

MYSTIC ACADEMY CAMPUS

Mystic Academy is developing a campus on Matara and Spirit City

The campus is being developed in order to give students more choice of classes, times and venues and will involve staff leaders building recruiting and managing their own teams. The venues will be partly on dedicated land on Matara as well as taking place on the home ground of some staff leaders.

The dedicated meditation venue and the literature salon are already up and ready to go!

At the moment this venue is known as Galadlas. The Tuesday meditations have already moved to Galadlas and a Poetry Corner is planned for Sundays at 9am SLT beginning this coming Sunday.

Bring along your favourite poems - own poetry welcomed. You can share them in text or read them in voice. Please have voice enabled even if you do not intend to speak. If you would like the poems you bring read by Baji Bourjade or Elborath Gelfand then please send them on a notecard before the class.

A dedicated music venue in the centre of Matara is planned and is already under construction.

MUSIC CIRCLE

If you haven't been to the Music Circle classes run by Mystic's resident singer/songwriter SCOTT BORONSKI then you are missing a treat! The third class in this series took place on Tuesday last at 2.30pm SLT in the Sky Temple. Always well attended the format is simple - Scott plays a song - and the students talk about it, critique it and analyse it. Some of the tracks are Scott's choice - but he is delighted to play songs suggested by the students. And of course somehow we always seem to end up dancing :) If you have a song you would like included please IM Scott inworld with the name of the song, the lyrics and if possible a brief biography of the singer (Wikipedia is a GREAT resource for this).

MERRY MEET

Mystic Academy celebrated Halloween 2008 with a spectacular line up of events! First it was PARTY all the way - from 2pm SLT to 5pm SLT - with DJs MANON CLARY, ALIENSHAMAN CONSTELLATION and SARA LONG and psychedelia came to Halloween...

At 5pm SLT we all gathered at Stone Henge (standing room only lol) for High Witch FIRESTAAR FRYE to guide us through the SAMHAIN RITUAL

And finally on this night when the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest Psychic STARROSE MERLIN together with DRAIG BELGAR conducted a highly successful seance bringing messages to people there.
